2016 - A Record Summer For Vanilla

Well what a summer it has been for Vanilla. 2016 has been the busiest summer to date for the company, it has been a non stop round of weddings, parties and very exciting corporate events.

Whilst most of you have been idling, enjoying the Summer the Vanilla team have been working hard to deliver fantastic food and service to all our clients whether it be a wedding, party or corporate event.

We have catered for over a hundred weddings so far this year all very different and all in fantastic locations, from London to the beautiful Isle of Wight. We have catered in private marquees, stately homes, historic venues such as HMS Victory /Warrior & barns such as the Tithe Barn In Petersfield.

We have catered for Royalty, Sirs, Dames and more importantly, you the normal, but equally important client.

Our team of event managers and chefs is steadily expanding, Lee our Executive head chef has been supported by a great team of chefs who all take pride in the quality and freshness of our bespoke menus, I can honestly say he has his best team ever this year.

Our Events team headed by Helen is second to none, they all work round the clock to enable our clients to have a perfect event whether it be an intimate family gathering or a corporate banquet for hundreds.

One of the most memorable events this summer has been catering for the Americas Cup World Series (ACWS) at Sir Ben Ainslie’s HQ in Old Portsmouth . This was three days of corporate entertaining. We catered at the base running two floors simultaneously and we also catered for over 200 on the spectator boat. Throw in the future king and Queen of England and the Duke of Edinburgh and it made for a very very busy and exciting (also long ! ) three days for us .

Even more privileged we fed Sir Ben and his team breakfast, dinner and power smoothies to enable them to have the edge on the competitors and be the winning team, of course all down to our food and service !! Finally we catered for the warp party which as you can imagine was a blast and a great way to end the event.

We have catered for some large weddings this year in marquees, but we have also catered for some small ones, nothing is too small or large for our team. Along the way we have had laughter, tears, lots and lots of thank you letters and cards. I have posted some of them to our face book page so if you have a spare five minutes have a look.

We are now looking to the Autumn when the winter wedding packages we provide come into their own . These Winter wedding packages are in venues such as the Royal Marines museum and The Port House. They enable couples to have their dream wedding in fantastic locations at reduced prices. Winter is my favourite time of year as you don't need to worry about the weather, the colder the better. Winter warming dishes such as Sticky Toffee pudding and Beef Wellington feature heavily on our winter menus as well as our Xmas menus, talking of which it is almost Xmas party time. This year we are catering for Xmas parties in locations such as the Bombay Sapphire Distillery, the Spinnaker tower, the Port House, at various locations on the Portsmouth Historic Dockyards as well of course in your own home.
