Where did the last 6 months go?

It’s been a busy 6 months for Vanilla, hard to believe that we are almost into July.

The year kicked off with the design and launch of our 2017 menus. As always Lee and his team have produced a mouth watering, eclectic, vibrant, colourful menu incorporating as much local produce as possible with local cheeses such as Tunworth, Lyburn, fabulous local trout and we have even sourced butter from the beautiful Isle of Wight, Viking butter really does take butter to a new level !

Our portfolio of venues is ever increasing with two new. venues added: the beautiful Tournebury Estate and the Stunning Penton Park, both very different but equally fantastic places to hold your wedding or party.

We continue to work in Portsmouth historic Dockyards catering on HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, The NMRN and The Mary Rose, all three venues are unique, historic and bespoke and can be hired for exclusive use for your wedding, party or dinner

We have been very busy catering for Sir Ben Ainslie at his stunning, sustainable HQ in Portsmouth. Sadly Ben and his team have now lost their challenge for the 35th Americas cup but are launching a fight back for the next cup which means another three years of exhilarating racing to look forward to.

We have announced our new charity for 2017, the Wessex Breast Cancer Haven ( www.breastcancerhaven.org.uk). Every guest you invite to your wedding or party who have a three course meal with us we will donate 30p a head to this very worthwhile charity and we are extremely proud to be part of it, watch this space for details of fund raising dinners too.

Our Exclusive venue the Port house goes from strength to strength, we are now offering complete wedding packages here for 40 or more guests which is fantastic value. We have a civil licence so you can marry and party at this wonderful waterside venue. The Port House is also available for day delegate packages and our cafe is open daily with Steves Sunday roast now getting a real following. We have Hampshire ales and range of spirits including Isle Wight vodka and Winchester watercress gin.

Back at Vanilla HQ we welcome aboard Keeley and Sam as new event managers, bringing our events managers into double figures, as every event we run you get a dedicated event manager or wedding planner included in the price, it is all part of the beautiful Vanilla package.

Lee, our executive head chef, and his team remain solid, we really do have a very stable creative team of chefs and Lee is now in his seventh year with us, he is also celebrating the birth of his second grandchild, far too young to be a grandad !

It is never too early to organise your Xmas party so if you need advice or information on the venues we work in please do get in touch.

Next week we find out if we have won the award for customer service company of the year at the South Coast Business awards in conjunction with the Daily Echo, fingers crossed we win, but whatever the outcome we will have a great party !
